The Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash
The Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash Festival has quickly grown into
the Premier Hip-Hop
Music Festival in the Midwest. The Summer Smash is the product of
two of Chicago’s most well-respected platforms joining forces to
create a one-of-a-kind event,
catering to the city’s budding youth movement. The founding
companies,
Lyrical Lemonade
and
SPKRBX, have both found ways to capture the eyes, ears, and hearts of
millennial culture
- that influence was
reflected in the 2 years of consecutive SOLD OUT festivals. Having
started as a one day indoor concert in 2017, the event has
exploded in 3 short years and has evolved into a multi-day, multi-stage
event with more than 40,000 attendees per year. Having taken a
hiatus in the year 2020 due to the overall concerns with the
Covid-19 pandemic,
the Summer Smash Festival is poised to return in 2021 with the
biggest hip-hop
lineup the city has ever seen.
